Privacy Policy
Our enquiry policy explains what we collect when you request an estimate, including name, address, project notes, and contact details for scheduling and follow-up.
We use enquiry information only to reply to your request, prepare pricing, and coordinate site visits, and we do not sell contact details.
Clients may request access, correction, or removal of their enquiry information by contacting the office through the number or email listed on the site.
Effective October 19, 2026
Southern Maine ADU Builders operates this website so homeowners can learn about accessory dwelling planning and start a conversation about a specific property. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the limits we place on sharing.
What you share when you contact us
When you send an inquiry through the website, we ask for a name, an email address, a phone number, the town where the lot sits, a rough budget range, a short description of the project scope, and any notes you want us to see before a call. The required submission authorization explains the contact you authorize when you submit the form.
You do not need to create an account to send a message.
How inquiries are handled
Enquiries route through a customer relationship system (GHL) and a voice receptionist that identifies itself as an automated line when it answers. The receptionist takes a message twenty-four hours a day.
A person follows up by phone, text or email to arrange a useful site conversation. That contact is tied to the project you described, not to generic marketing lists, and we only reach out about the matter you raised.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
The site does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not profile visitors across other websites. Functional browser storage may be used to support forms and ordinary page behavior.
Service providers
To run the website and respond to inquiries, we rely on service providers for website hosting, the CRM, and the voice receptionist. These providers see information you submit only as part of delivering their service to us.
Information may be processed by these providers as needed for hosting and inquiry handling.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect submitted information, including access controls on the CRM and encrypted transport for the website. No online system can be guaranteed secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
If you tell us about a possible issue, we will look into it and respond through the contact details below.
Retention
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to answer your questions, carry out a project if one begins, and meet reasonable business and administrative obligations afterward. Retention can vary with the status of an inquiry and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, or request deletion by writing to info@southernmaineadubuilders.com or calling (207) 417-4918. If a request would conflict with an active project or an obligation we need to meet, we will explain that in writing rather than quietly refuse.
Children
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted a form, please contact us and we will remove the record.
External links
Pages may occasionally link to other websites, for example a town code page or a trade reference. Those sites are not controlled by us, and their privacy practices are their own.
Read their policies before sending them information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the website or the business changes. The effective date at the top will move when that happens, and the current version will always sit at this URL.
